Negative experience: Brought my kids for the specific purpose of using the slide. Paid in with no mention of slide being closed for most of the session. Changing area/showers are filthy. Sand in the pools. Totally inadequate showers for the number of people. Kids got 2 goes on the slide with the excuse there's not enough staff. Apparently there are no plans to hire more or change this in any way, yet still charge full price for use.

Negative experience: Every changing cubicle has someone's bag /shoes/clothes in them. And they do absolutely NOTHING. Poor management. Staff don't care. Very awkward having to change your child due to selfish people.

Positive experience: Staff helpful & swimming pool good but showers & toilets are not cleaned very often. There's usually a clump or 2 of hair in the shower area. Also the water in 2 showers is always cold and in the others too hot. A big energy waste.

Negative experience: When you arrive to the pool, it looks nice and modern with no issues, but when you enter, the girl at the desk is too busy looking down on her phone. You are left waiting for 30 seconds wondering if she is in do not disturb mode. In the changing room, the experience is poor, there are missing keys to lockers, some changing rooms have clothing left in them the showers are boiling hot and the bathrooms are disgusting. They also charge you to use the lockers. In the baby pool, it's okay. There is brown crust in the corners or the baby pool, the jets are really strong and the fountain is never on. In the other pool they have tons of rules. It's like you can't even have fun! You couldn't dive, so we decided to simply sit on the wall and fall in instead. We got in trouble by the lifeguards. The thing is, other people were diving in, and didn't get in any bit of trouble. The ladder out is very loose, the deep end is only 1.5m, so not very deep if you're looking to train and the water slide is on for 10 minutes per session. The pool moderation is poor. The lifeguards are barely ever paying attention and can be very cross, You can't forget the price. We were charged over 30 euro for 1.5 hours! We only had 3 people there with us too. One day, we went for a swim. There were swimming lessons on and there was no warning of them being on anywhere (it was on a Thursday and we were there on the previous Sunday and Monday). We couldn't swim at all because of it and it was on all day! No hate to the pool but this needs to be dealt with.

Negative experience: Wouldn’t return as pool temperature too cool and baby pool full of sand. Should have a walk through foot cleaning section to prevent dirt being brought into the pool - fermoy has this for example. Especially required for a pool by the beach. You also have to pay an additional 50c to use hair dryers which is unacceptable and leaves children with wet hair - we don’t have the climate for that. We paid 28 for an adult and one child and two basic swimming hats. The hair dryer should be included.

Fantastic experience: I'm training for a Triathlon and Aure has everything I need to complete my workouts. Great people and great Leisure Centre for everyone 10/10.

Negative experience: Class for toddlers consist in wet the kids with a watering can. Then the teacher do his impression of a shark. All this always individually to take a lot of time. Then 1 minute of real swimming class splashing the feet on the water. Then moving to adult swimming poll that is way to cold for toddlers and do some jumping to the pool. More shark impressions. Return to the toddler swimming pool and finish the class. Teacher have no clue about toddler classes. By the fifth class there were only 3 kids on the pool. Don't know how was the sixth because we don't intend to go anymore. We have to stop because my daughter was crazy about going to the pool now she hates. I see comments about how hard is to get schedule. Well if you never got the chance to enroll your kids you are the lucky ones. It's amazing how Aura makes you enroll for 8 lessons and then uses a teacher that have no skills at all to deal with toddlers

Negative experience: My son loves water slides but he was slightly to short and he came back balling there was only 2 working showers and weren’t aloud to use public ones there was a lot of sand in the baby pool I wouldn’t recommend to some kids the water slide was good but was only open for 10 minutes out of the hour

Negative experience: I can t recommend this place really…. Since my daughter was 4 we try to get her to learn how to swim. She want teo rounds of swim academy, each time she could not pass the seahorse class. I ve wrote the “manager”. He said he will investigate it and get back. 2 months later i wrote him again. All he was able to say is that the swim instructors are assessing kids on a weekly basis. Ok so it s my kid that is not able to learn how to swim… nothing else is being done. On another note, the facility is so disgusting and gross, we could not use the toilets as they we’re absolutely horrid. Changing rooms… o also wrote this to the manager and nothing was done. Absolutely nothing. He only told me that there s periodic cleans being done and that he will be looking into this… looking for another leisure center at the end of this term that i paid already (i believe it s the 4th same class)…unacceptable

Negative experience: I highly do NOT recommend this place. The steam room is dirty and not cleaned every day; today it smelled like urine. One can even see rubbish from previous days inside the steam room, meaning it was not cleaned at all. The schedule is never respected, as the timings of special events vary from one day to the next, so members can not have same hours every day, or at least every day of week the same timings. The sauna room has barely any light in it, making older people feel dizzy sometimes. The showers are not enough when crowded and the water in showers is cold. The water in pool is foamy and smells of chlorine. The water from children pool is sometimes too cold for families to even enjoy properly, forcing them to move and play in the pool for adults.

Very diligent lifeguards.. some have said too diligent but you can't be too overboard with safety.. the slide is great but only open for 10 minutes every half hour.. lockers could be bigger and dressing rooms could be bigger but i think that's a constant complaint everywhere.. sand on the floor here and there.. don't know why.. but i would recommend

Negative experience: Astounded about the degree of mismanagement. Broken tiles everywhere for the past half year, nothing about it was done, except of putting signs around it. Re-booking day for swimming lessons is always like being on a Turkish bazar. Staff has no clue what they are doing, but at least they are running around like headless chicks.Parents are waiting up to 2,5 hrs for re-booking. Child will never pass the group on first try, even if they can already properly swim. Swimming teachers are not capable to teach more than 2 children, but have up to 10 kids in their group. Can only highly recommend to look for another centre with better and cleaner amenities and properly trained staff, you definitely won't find it at Aura Leisure Centre.

Negative experience: Huge confusion over our booking time, no one seemed to know what was going on. I was called again the day before to confirm the time and there was still confusion when we arrived. The lifeguards are really over the top, stopping and staring at people, it really wasn't a relaxing experience. No lock on the changing room door which was a nightmare. On the plus side very clean pool.

Negative experience: Swiming entrance area should have acces only for swiming person, blue shoes cover should be wear.You cant walk in from outside after you my step into some dirt and you spread all over.This is healt and safety issue.

Negative experience: Brought my son here to "swimming lessons" last April. He was one And a half at the time. I spoke to a few people previous to him starting and explained he had been in lessons for a year in a different place and would it suit him to which I was told it would. It wasn't lessons at all it was messing in the pool it was a complete waste of time and money. When we took him back to the other place he was in it took him a few weeks to remember all he had learnt.

Positive experience: Lovely clean pool and changing rooms. They wanted 30 euros for swim goggles which is outrageous. So we swam without them and it was all good.
