Negative experience: The pool is great and looks well maintained, and the staff are friendly, but apart from that, everything else could use a complete refurbishment. The toilets and changing rooms are unsanitary. The gym area is very small and dirty, and most of the equipment is broken. The machines that still work look like they haven’t been maintained in quite some time. Teenagers — and sometimes even children — overcrowd the gym with no adult supervision. Sometimes don’t even wear appropriate clothing (for example, open-toed shoes in the free weights area) and often use the equipment and weights incorrectly or leave them everywhere, which can be dangerous both for them and for other users of the facility.

Positive experience: Staff nice, but place is quite basic. Gym is actually a PortaKabin. Some people in gym look like they are from rough backgrounds. But i would use its pool area though, its more family orientated.

Positive experience: The place is decent but definitely needs an urgent refurbishment at least the basics… It’s so uncomfortable to not have dividers in the showers…we are in 2025, in a leisure centre that charges 40€ a month, we are not in a prison…

Positive experience: This gym could use a total refurbishment. The changing rooms appear to be very insanitary. The cardio machines also need to be upgraded, as they are almost always malfunctioning. This fact is especially noticeable and frustrating during busy periods when you have to wait around to use one of a handful of machines that actual work properly. However, the pool appears to be maintained to a decent standard. So far I have found the staff to be friendly and helpful and this is the only reason I’m rating this gym with 3 stars rather than 1 star.

Negative experience: Went in and got a day pass for the gym for 7 euro.I thought this was reasonable until I went into the gym.It smelled like shit and had no music or lighting.On top of this a lot of machines were broken and half the weights were missing.On top of this everyone jogs the very limited machines and the cardio area is mediocre and packed.Wouldn’t recommend couldn’t even use sauna

Negative experience: One of the worst gyms I have been a member of. Equipement is limited and what is available is outdated and filthy. Changing facilities are a disgrace and again filthy. Same goes for the sauna which never gets cleaned and the smell is horrific in there. Feedback constantly falls on deaf ears. For things to improve they need more competition in the area, otherwise they will have no incentive to change.

Positive experience: Been a member for a few months now. Not the cleanest or best equipped and the sauna didn't work for 2 months. Equipment is old and often out of use. However, it's very affordable and if like me you mainly just want a good range of free weights and a treadmill it's a total bargain. Especially if you can go during quiet times. I'm getting good value I think.

Negative experience: Very poor gym. Building is severely dated and most of the small gym is in a prefab and has been for I don’t know how long. Absolute disgraceful ventilation for a gym in 2024. Always overly hot in the cardio room. No windows in cardio room and from what I can see there is 3 air conditioners on the wall which none of are turned on. They have a weak small cheap fan on one side that doesn’t do anything. Bad smell of body odour and damp clothes as well in cardio room. To add to this there is always at least 1 machine in the cardio room broken or faulty. at one point one of the cross trainers was broken for about 3-4 months leading to big queues for the other one. Very little selection of machines in both the cardio and weights room. Staff aren’t very helpful and can be quite rude also. Pity its the only gym in the town you can work at your own pace and not class based.

Fantastic experience: This is a well organized parish hall. Perfect location to learn about CPR and how to use a cardiac defibrillator. This is part of the HANDS FOR LIFE program run by volunteers affiliated with the HSE Ambulance Service. Everyone should take this 2 hour class, you might help save someone's life. Many thanks to all the volunteers and the parish .

Fantastic experience: Kids attended Summer camp here. They loved it. In the morning they do activities of crafts or games outside in East Glendalough School, then walk to Coral Leisure for swimming lessons. Having 4 or 5 lessons in a row is really beneficial to their confidence.

Negative experience: Honestly the gym is a disgrace. It's in a prefab and the equipment is decade's old. Weights are rusting. No bumper plates. The place is filthy. The pool is disgusting and the lockers have no locks. Just shocking they are charging people for this. Don't think I've ever seen a gym as bad !

Positive experience: Very nice pool. If you don't like busy pools on a sunday then I would definitley go for the 13.00 public swim. If you go for the 12.00(midday) swim there is not much room to actually swim due to the amount of people. Changing rooms also very busy

Negative experience: Has not been updated in over a decade, barely any machines, only one squat rack and the machines don’t even have the weight on the machines anymore due to being so old. At a minimum the gym can fix the number on the weights so people know what they are lifting. Not a good gym at all

Negative experience: I don't like to be harsh, but this place was outdated and filthy. Staff were on their phones disinterested, and I don't blame them! It doesn't seem well run at all, and you need to buy a €5 padlock to use the lockers? Come on. I used to use this gym 15 years ago and it hasn't changed since. The gym is still mostly in a prefab, and the machines are incredibly dated and lacking, with no cable machine. Yet, despite all these flaws, they still have the nerve to charge €450 a year. In comparison to shoreline in greystones, which is all modernised with full size pool and sauna etc, coral somehow costs the same. It's just difficult to describe how badly in need of investment and better management this place is. It's such a shame because it's in a great spot, and I have found memories of going here after school, but it's really not good enough anymore for what they charge, and wicklow deserves better.

Fantastic experience: Very good layout, 25m pool, gym, steam room and sona. Staff are very helpful and highly trained. Everyone is give a check over before they're allowed working out in gym. You can get a personalized program for yourself as well. There is access to paid personal trainer swimming clubs and classes as well. Adults and kids welcome. Just upgraded to gym is great, more exercise equipment. Very friendly atmosphere. Looking forward redevelopment of main gym and services.

Positive experience: Sent an e-mail, trying to cancel my membership - no reply and got charged for the next month even I didn't use it anymore. Then went to talk to staff, twice - they couldn't do anything for me to cancel it, gave me email, I wrote there - no reply again! So have to cancel my direct debit through my bank. Very disappointed and will never recommend it to my friends.

Positive experience: I use the pool 5 morning's a week I leave the weekend for the children. The staff are professional in there work environment & all very helpful.

Negative experience: Great pool and blazing sauna are let down by the men's changing area and toilets. Broken toilet for two weeks running. No sign and a big mess. No cleaning rota is posted and there is no way to know when it was last done. This is a problem of poor management.

Positive experience: Descent gym that has free weights and machines. Sauna/steamroom along with toddlers and a good size adult pool. Changing rooms are tidy enough but would benefit greatly from a refurbishment.

Fantastic experience: Always a pleasant atmosphere. Clean changing rooms and warm area to sit and watch. A little too warm at times but good for the children after swimming.

Positive experience: Helpful staff. Nice facilities, with ample parking space. The heated indoor swimming pool is nice for swimming especially when the weather is cold. Gym facilities could do with a bit more benches and machines though for a range of exercises.

Positive experience: Good facility in the heart of Wicklow Town. It is quite close to the bus stop and is on the way to the train station, so it is convenient for commuters to use. The facilities are a bit dated and all could do with a revamp, but the equipment that is there is in decent condition and there is a selection of different things available. I quite like the view of the fields when on some of the aerobic equipment. Changing facilities are shared for the gym and pool so it can be hard to get a shower, which are in an open plan area in each changing room.
