Fantastic experience: Location was great! Surrounded by plenty of pubs, cafes and shopping. Staff was very helpful in all aspects. Go to Celtic Kitchen Café for breakfast

Positive experience: Older hotel on a main street. Restaurant/pub attached. Lift to different floors, but steps also on each floor making a challenge for luggage. Beds were fine but flat hard pillows.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I were attending a Psychiatric Nurses 50th Anniversary Event in Killarney! Rooms: Comfortable, spacious, warm and noise pollution free. Service: Great Breakfast; excellent professional & caring staff. Reception Manager, on duty 15th & 16th September, 2025 was most accommodating & empathetic. Location: Central; close to all relevant amenities, attractions, and places of interest. Many thanks for a most memorable experience !

Negative experience: Booked because it was centrally located and had parking available. When we arrived the receptionist vaguely told us where the parking was but not a specific address. We were unable to locate it and therefore parked in a public car park. Our room was newly decorated and had a very strong paint smell. The room was ok clean but basic. The washbasin had a crack in it. Are in the bar where food was remarkably ok and staff were great. Singing entertainment was good and it finished at 10pm We went to our room and realised that directly next door was an out door pub where there were lots of people having a great time, loud group - all fair enough as it was a Friday night THE MUSIC CONTINUED UNTIL 3am We asked about this the next morning and a very disinterested staff member said it was in every weekend There should be a clear notice when booking that this takes place as it was absolutely ridiculous- it was like being there. We had about 4 hours sleep

Fantastic experience: I'm fortunate to come to Killarney twice a year for a vacation, whilst I've never stayed here until now I've had a drink in the Danny Mann lounge which this hotel is part of. I only booked this trip a week ago so thought I would stay at this hotel which is right in the heart of the town. I must say I'm very impressed, the rooms are exceptionally clean, every member of the team have spoken to genuinely polite and helpful. This morning's cooked breakfast is one of the best I have had in the town. It's great value too. Let's just try and keep this delight a secret ☘️

Negative experience: Location is very close to the intersection between Main and New street. Countless numbers of tourists hanging around the bars and pubs late at night. Which make it unbearable for people wishes staying in a quiet environment. Hotel is a prehistoric building and sound insulation didn’t exist at all.

Negative experience: There was construction being carried out in the room next to mine at 8am. Considering the price of the rooms I find this unacceptable, the room was also filthy and had a used towel on the bathroom door.

Negative experience: Muy mala experiencia. Toallas sucias, olian fatal. Moquetas sucia, llemas de manchas,,olian a polvo Abstenerse alérgicos al polvo. Hotel muy ruidoso. Ventanas viejas que no cerraban bien El desayuno incluido lamentable. Si querías algo caliente tenias que pagarlo, solo había bollería escasa y de mala calidad. Lamentablemente el trato se las camareras de desayuno, parecia que le debías dinero.

Negative experience: Teníamos la habitación en un tercero y aunque cerráramos las ventanas, se escuchaba rodo lo que sucedía en la calle, como si la habitación estuviera a pie de calle. Las camas de hundían, y no pudimos descansar nada

Positive experience: Not a bad hotel, off street parking which is great when you are travelling on a motorbike. Reception staff were excellent. The bar staff, not quite so good, a bit slow serving when you're the only one waiting. Bar manageress had a quite unfriendly attitude, I was carrying my bike kit through the bar too the hotel and stopped to give her room to walk through, a thankyou costs nothing. I decided to eat in the restaurant that evening, and went for the belly pork, I think it had been cooked with in an inch of its life, as it was very dry thank god for the gravy and mash. The room was fine, but a long walk from reception. Saying that I would happily stay here again.

Fantastic experience: Stunningly beautiful

Positive experience: Three words: bed on wheels. You can only imagine the piles of furniture I had to wedge around the bed to keep it from careening across the room dare I even THINK about leaning my head against the wall to read. Otherwise, not bad. Central. Front desk was very helpful. In fact they were so nice I couldn't bring myself to complain about the roller derby bed situation.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I came to town to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We would recommend the Eviston House Hotel based on their great location, free parking, accommodating staff, and fun pub. They had live music during our stay! Our stay was during the week of unseasonably hot weather and the front desk gave us a fan for the room was unexpected. Stay here is you are looking to be centrally located to shopping, pubs, and a short drive to the National park.

Il personale cortese. L'hotel è dotato di parcheggio nel retro che è stato molto difficoltoso utilizzarlo.

Negative experience: If I could give this hotel zero stars I would. £100 sterling for a Monday night, on my arrival to the hotel I was grunted at by 2 ladies at the front desk, none of them being local, you will find no Irish charm here. Terrible place with terrible staff. It won’t let me post it on here but all I can say is seedy and unfriendly with ladies of the night and lots of non locals living in this hotel

Negative experience: This would have been a four star experience based on the beds and bathroom, which were great, however the insane amount of noise from either A. the dance class across from our room, B. the dance club music blasting at night, or C. the slags yelling in the alley below us, all made it impossible to relax or sleep. Also, the lack of ventilation means you either have to open the one window and have more noise, or sweat throughout the night. Just not a great choice all around.

Negative experience: Horrible experience staying at this hotel due to excessive noise throughout the night. Windows have no insulation. Absolute miserable experience. Cannot recommend staying here for anyone if your goal is to sleep. People yelling and cars racing in the street throughout the night. Such a bad experience for a completely overpriced property.

Fantastic experience: I stayed during the week with my dog. Excellent pet friendly hotel. As I was by myself the staff helped accommodate me for breakfast delivering to the room as I couldn’t eat in the breakfast dinning room. Location in Killarney was fab. Parking close by. Underneath is the Danny Mann pub great food & trad music with a pet friendly area & a pet menu… it was a great experience will definitely be back

Fantastic experience: Really lovely stay. Great food and music in the bar. Rooms quite large and had the best sleeps ive had in ages. Big thanks to Grainne who works here, shes so charming and helped us plan what spots to visit on our trip too. Other staff were great too. Will stay again!

Fantastic experience: I have spent the night here and It has been the best choice I made. It is a very nice and cosy hotel and also not too expensive to be in the town center. I'm very thankful to the staff for being so nice to me, also for letting me having breakfast a little bit out of time. It was amazing the man playing live music in the bar at night. The room was great, big and very relaxing. The owner, Patrick, is a lovely person. I'm so happy I could get to know this place and these people. I will come back for sure.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful location with local music and bar. They had a restaurant but we didn't eat there. Rooms were cozy and you couldn't hear the music. Would stay again.

Negative experience: I was enjoying my dinner with my fitness until we heard an alarm and one of my friends shouted fire. Then a bar worker with a beard came over and rudely asked us ‘who’s the clown who shouted fire’ in my opinion I think this is very rude and the manager then would not serve us anymore as we shouted fire. Very rude staff

Negative experience: We stayed Saturday and Sunday night the service was absolutely terrible and the hotel it self was expensive for what it’s worth. Then 6 am the hotel goes on fire we were left on the path for hours with no explanation and still we don’t know what happend what a Traumatic experience the only bright side most people seem to have got there stuff back I called the hotel to see if everyone was okay the person on the phone said YES and cut off the phone ironically sounded like a fire alarm going off behind her i definitely don’t recommend this hotel to stay in

Negative experience: Couldn't get a table to eat last night, waited ages in a queue to get a drink and gave up to go somewhere else, the TV channel selection was not great and the free parking was a joke with very limited spaces for the ammout of rooms, one star is due to the high price point and terrible or non existent service

Fantastic experience: When we arrived we got such a brilliantly warm welcome. It was fantastic. The room was very good, considering the price we paid we weren't expecting 5 stars but it did the job and it was clean. The hotel is right in the centre of Killarney and you couldn't get a better location. I was worried about the parking however it is a first come first served basis, and there is a big car park at the back you would have to pay for but it isn't a big deal as you will probably be out most of the day anyway. I will be back. Jackie is a legend also.

Fantastic experience: As usual our stay was amazing, I have stayed at this hotel multiple times Through out the years as it is in the best location for where ever you would like to go and always The service is marvelous especially from the bar man I can never remember his name but he is the man (sorry if it insults you) With the red ginger hair the most well mannered, great humored, friendly bar man that Iv ever met and Iv worked in the industry for many years As a bar woman my self and my god this hotel is very lucky to have him As an employee, he makes guests feel like there at home in there local it’s fantastic! Complete 5 star rating highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Very pleasant stay, friendly staff, nice clean hotel

Negative experience: We went to the resturant and had to wait 45 mun to get served. The irish and romanian waitresses ignored everyone who looked Nordic and only served people who were clearly locals with the popped collars and scary beards.

Positive experience: Covid 19 guidelines are followed within this hotel. No tea and coffee facilities in the hotel room anymore. This is a dog friendly hotel, dogs permitted in the rooms and the lobby only. Friendly staff, however room was cold with only one heater in a room that sleeps 3.

Positive experience: Stayed two nights, lovely hotel and great location. We were greeted by friendly staff members at reception (America I think?). Promptly received our room keys. The room was very clean and bright. Only thing was that we had three in a room but only two towels in the bathroom and the hairdryer wasn’t working. Other than that couldn’t fault the room. Had breakfast both mornings in the hotel, again lovely staff there too. Would definitely recommend the breakfast, which we booked at reception. Had dinner the first evening in the Danny Mann located right next door to the hotel. Great food and service. Again, our server from New Zealand was so friendly despite us thinking he might be from Oz. Parking is limited but there was a car park at the back of the hotel about a 5 minute walk which was easily accessible.

Negative experience: This was by far the worst hotel I've stayed in. Staff constantly forgetting orders for our table. Being charged for items we didn't receive on our restaurant bill. The waitress didn't speak any English so was difficult for her to understand our orders. The other waitress at breakfast was so rude. Grunting answers at us and walking away while we were still trying to order. They seated us separately even though we reserved a table together. The food was mediocre at best. Dressed fries were sloppy and stale. They didn't even bring us water or juice at breakfast we kept trying to grab someone's attention to serve us. The scrambled eggs were so runny and undercooked they made the hash browns wet so we sent them back only to have the soggy hash browns returned on a new plate. The rooms were filthy. Hadn't been cleaned properly as we food an unopened can of beer in the desk drawer. No Toliet roll or shower gel or shampoo in bathroom. We were given our keys at 3:30 after waiting over an hour only to go to our room and see housekeeping only starting to clean our room from the previous guests so we could not even leave our bags in the room. The only saving grace was a waiter named Devlin who was friendly and competent and actually knew what he was doing. Other than this I cannot say anything positive about this hotel. We heard 3 other guests complaining about various things. Avoid this hotel.

Positive experience: Friendly staff, our room was right beside the kitchen so could hear fans on the fridges all night, could sleep through it but was irritating. Never a spot in car park so will have to park 5 minutes walk, not an issue but not what was advertised. Cleaners kept coming into the room early even after been told they will only enter if tag is on the door. Room was comfortable best thing I could say about the place was the staff at reception were polite and very informative

Negative experience: Room carpet damp. Only good thing was there was hot water No hot water in the radiator though. Requested a brew kit, received a kettle without any mugs or tea. Food was cold, and poor dining facilities upstairs. Waited 30mins for someone to sit us in the danny man downstairs, Left us sitting for similar time before taking drink or food order. Tv didnt work 3 pillows for a king size bed Room furniture belongs in a student flat Entrance to parking only suitable for an Italian job mini cooper or a smart car unless you want to delete your wing mirrors

Positive experience: This place was spot on the money and was implementing all the Covid 19 era procedures, from queuing to refusing drinks orders without food orders and social Distancing to boot, felt happy and safe here and enjoy the fayre on offer, one to revisit on our next trip !

Negative experience: Very friendly and helpful staff, friendly atmosphere. Room was clean & comfortable but some of the furniture could do with replacing. The WiFi is terrible, used mobile data most of the time. Parking is a public car park nearby, it’s not associated with the hotel and there are charges during most of the day.

Negative experience: For the Danny man: You will enjoy the food but your conversation will revolve around how poor the service is. You get seated and a menu, they take your order, wait ages for your food, wait ages for your drinks to arrive, they'll forget bits of your order, wait over 30 minutes for desert menu and your bill, people next to us were waiting 40 minutes for their starter & ended up leaving as server never put in the order. It's the same story every time we go in, today was probably the last time we'll say "oh but the food is good" and go in. Someone needs to spend SERIOUS time training the servers i

Negative experience: Firstly no car spaces available, had to park in a public car park at our own expense even tho' free car park was advertised. No tea making facilities available. Had to go to nearest shop for coffee.

Fantastic experience: Big hotel that feels small. Lots of walking to get to your room. I messed up my online booking and they did a great job to fix everything and apply the previously charged fees to the new booking. Hotel is right in the thick of everything so it might be a little noisy. We used the public parking and it only cost a few bucks from 4pm until the next morning.

Fantastic experience: Great hotel. We checked in and our room was instantly ready. We walked in the room expecting two single beds and we walked into what looked like a small apartment. I instantly worried we were in the wrong room and walked back downstairs only to find out they gave us a complimentary upgrade. Hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly.

Fantastic experience: What a great week we had staying here. The staff were fantastic and couldn't have been more helpful. The food was excellent and our room was clean and very comfortable. It was extremely busy as it is a popular hotel but the restaurant and bar staff were coping very well and always had a smile. The bar is the Danny Mann where live Irish music is performed every night, give it a try you will love it.

Negative experience: Arrived late on a friday and there were a load of underage drinkers shouting outside the entrance. Car park fits about 10 cars, and when I rang to book I wasn't made aware that this is a first come first served basis. Because of this, we had to pay for parking at a separate car park over the weekend. The room was okay, comfy beds and spacious but not the cleanest (we found dust bunnies in the bathroom). I didn't find the staff to be particularly friendly. All in all, I wouldn't be recommending this as somewhere to stay in killarney. There are plenty of affordable bnbs in the area that are a comparable price, but much nicer.
