Fantastic experience: Great Gym, has all the equipment you need for a well rounded session. Also a very nice Sauna for relaxation and recovery. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere of the gym floor is fantastic.

Fantastic experience: Great spot to drop in for a day pass and get my deadlift on. One deadlift platform, two regular squat racks and two smith machines, also an assisted pull up machine. I can never tell what weights the barbells are and they aren’t marked here as far as I can tell But that’s my own fault. €10 day pass. Kind and helpful staff got me in quickly and got me set up with a free lock for my stuff in the room. I didn’t have time to try the sauna but based on how clean the locker room was I would have loved to. Chill gym vibe from staff / patrons for an lgtbq+ traveler too. Easy to get to by bus from eyre square. Would definitely come again.

Fantastic experience: I was actually staying in the hotel beside Galway City Gym for the night I was super impressed with the facilities there the staff very helpful and friendly even tho I was only in there on a day pass which was definitely value for money loads of top equipment there and even got a punch bag and gloves to let so steam off would definitely go there again .

I've been a member or had day passes in almost every gym in Galway at some point but I always end up back where I belong. Back in the best gym Galway has to offer. GCG is just on another level.

Fantastic experience: A gym like no other, it has a very welcoming feeling right from the moment you walk in, from the very helpful staff, to the friendly members, many who are members a long time, and people are always willing to offer advice or just have a nice chat. If you are looking for a gym where the phones are put away and good hard workouts are on everyone's mind, look no further. One of my best decisions was to choose the Galway City Gym.

Fantastic experience: Awesome gym with everything you could possibly need for a strength workout. Also a lot of machines for cardio but that wouldn't really be my cup of tea. The atmosphere is also great to get into the headspace for lifting. Have yet to see anyone standing in the squat rack for 30 minutes taking pictures for instagram (common occurence in some other gyms).

Great to have the option of a day pass at the start. Membership fees are competitive. They have a number of cardio machines, a sauna and a studio. Definitely worth a visit to see how you find it.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant gym good equipment not too busy at 8pm when I went in. Good tunes and the sauna was savage most places aren’t letting you use the saunas or anything yet so it was nice

My feedback is: 1: great to have a payg option. 2: always a friendly face and helpful staff. 3: equipment is good, I like the few new additions.️‍♀️ 4: music is tops 5: the place is clean and has the products to clean equipment before & after. Fantastic experience: I joined GCG for just one week during the summer while I was visiting family in Galway. It was a great experience, very friendly staff and indeed fellow gym-users, a great range of equipment (lots of equipment not found in other commercial gyms I've used), and just overall a very enjoyable place to lift weights, esp. compared to anonymous commercial gyms back in London. There's also a very nice back-story to the gym's origin on the website. If I lived in Galway full-time I'd definitely be full member of this gym. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Solid gym. Great bench, squat rack and platform with lots of weights. I was able to do a solid training session. Staff and gym goers were very friendly. Everyone was great in terms of covid restrictions.

Fantastic experience: I used this gym mostly for mobility and flexibility and the facilities were excellent - floor space and props. The gym has several conditioning machines so there was no problem accessing treadmills etc. The main part of the gym is for weight and strength training and the range of equipment for this training is excellent catering for the heavy lifters. I really like that there are secure and clean changing rooms for the times when you don't want to go straight home. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I recommend this gym to anyone who likes weights.
