Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Goals Gym Galway. I had to leave my membership just a few days after registering due to serious unforeseen family circumstances. I approached the gym in good faith, proposing what I believed to be fair solutions. Despite my reasonable efforts to resolve the issue, my concerns were dismissed without consideration. To make matters worse, the gym didn’t even offer the courtesy of a face-to-face discussion or a phone call to address my situation. All communication was handled impersonally, leaving me feeling ignored and undervalued as a customer. On top of that, the facilities are mediocre at best. Several pieces of equipment didn’t work properly, which detracted from the overall experience. While the parking is convenient, that’s about the only positive thing I can say about the gym. The lack of clarity and unwillingness to engage with a loyal customer’s legitimate concerns will not align with anyone who values transparency, fairness, or customer service.

Fantastic experience: Good gym been training there for a few years but have left due to relocation. Staff are helpful and equipment is kept to a high standard. The gym is small and sometimes can feel cramped at busy hours but they use the space wisely and no reason why it should not be 5 stars. I Want to wish grannie and Ross the very best with their journey.

Positive experience: One smith machine, which can be hard to get a hold of at busier times (weekday evenings) but apart from that I'm happy with the equipment. Quite a small gym compared with its sister in Castlebar where I used to go frequently (love Goals up there it's the best gym ever!) but they have laid it out really well in Galway with the space that they have, and the staff are extremely friendly supportive and helpful ! Staff are a big plus. No pop up shop like in Castlebar. But no harm.

Fantastic experience: I started going to this gym about a year ago and I was very insecure and nervous at the beginning since I've never really been to one, and almost considered dropping it because of it. But then I started with the trainer Katie, and she gave me confidence by showing me different exercises and explaining different things and exercises. She made a difference for me! I'm much more relaxed now when I go to the gym

Fantastic experience: By far the best gym I have been to. Great location, spacious changing rooms, has a variety of different equipment/machines for each body part, which provides a greater selection for your workouts. Even at peak times there isn't really an issue with waiting on equipment/machines like with other gyms as everything is usually readily available when you want it! Open long hours everyday so you can always get a workout done, no matter what. All the other members and staff seem very friendly.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with a homey feel. Only was a member for a few months on my Erasmus, but wish this could’ve been my permanent gym! The crew is always so welcoming and the gym is constantly improving with new machinery. I wish more gyms were like Goals!

Fantastic experience: Great gym with great atmosphere!

Positive experience: Gym is prety good and always busy. Plenty of equipement and weights of all kinds. Cardio (treadmills or orbitrack) are few to be honest. Group classes are great, but not very reliable as they kept changing coaches every time in my suitable time (18.30) and sometimes even cancelled due to low visit rate. Changing rooms and showers are not very convenient so ladies mostly do not use them and go home in sportsware. Keep in mind membership cancellation policy as when I requested it at on the 3rd of the month I still had to pay for this and the following month. It is their policy which they warn about but spoiled general impression in the end.

Fantastic experience: Visited today as was passing through Galway.Brilliant gym with some top class equipment with good cleaning standards. Would be nice to have a water cooler in the gym but that's only a small thing. Lovely staff member working there she was super friendly. Thanks

But overwhelmingly the staff are excellent; sound, approachable, knowledgeable, and inclusive. It’s often challenging to walk into a sophisticated gym and feel comfortable but the team at Goals are lovely and supportive.

Fantastic experience: Really well equipped gym in terms of weights and machines. Not too busy early mornings or late evenings which is nice. Nice changing area and always very clean. Has a lot of free weight equipment available too like resistance bands, sandbags, foam rollers, dumbbells etc. The best gym i've been a member of in Galway in terms of opening hours, price and equipment. All it's missing is a water fountain.

Fantastic experience: This is a great gym. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. The gym has all the equipment you could need and more. It’s always clean and the atmosphere is great.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to loads of gyms in Galway and this one is my favourite for a few reasons. The location is perfect for me and this gym is very motivating. What I love about it is, the staff use the gym too and do their workouts like everyone else. I find that very motivating and encouraging. Everyone in this gym is friendly and literally got their heads down to work. It’s the first gym I’ve been in where people will throw you a smile and continue about their business! Everyone works hard but there is no competitive vibes.

Fantastic experience: I’m really new to Goals Gym, I think this is my 3rd week there but so far I’m really loving it. It’s so modern, really clean and the staff are lovely. They have a really good selection of workout equipment/stations and I love that it’s dark in there(but not too dark)it’s great if you’re a little self conscious at all. The womens facilities are great, again really clean, great water pressure in the shower(which is always a big plus to me!)and they have hair straighteners and feminine hygiene products which is always an added bonus. Also if that isn’t enough, the other day I seen who I assume is one of the owners bring in their beautiful doggo, so if that’s not reason enough to join then I don’t know what is!!!

Positive experience: Top class gym, excellent changing facilities and overall good environment to train in. Only downfall is the lack of some equipment. I feel this gym would be absolutely perfect if they swapped out the V squat for a hack squat, the 45° leg press for a horizontal leg press. A functional trainer would be a great addition too, allowing for cable lateral raises and cable flyes etc.

Fantastic experience: Goals Gym is such a nice place to train. It has a great setup with top of the range equipment for all your workout needs. The staff are very friendly & are always on hand to help you. They have a great option of classes free of charge to members to avail of throughout the week. The owners Grainne and Ross have created a great gym with such a great atmosphere.

Designated spaces for weights, cardio as well as if you want to skip or stretch. Fantastic experience: Top experience from the moment you walk in. You can literally feel the rush to work out just by looking at the modern and clean cut design of the place. Changing rooms are as modern and clean as they can be. Good lighting and a very instagramable full length mirror available, if that's your sort of thing. And this is all before you get to lift any weight. Very good variety of machines, cardio and free weights (A+ for the variety of grips available for the cable machines), not to mention a very comprehensive selection of boxing bags and cross-training equipment. Last but not least, the staff is very friendly and they will make you feel at ease with every question you might have. Great location/accessibility and parking options. There is no such thing as the perfect gym, but this one is not far from it. Thank you for having me for over a year.

Fantastic experience: Goals is personally the best gym I've been a member of in Galway. The facilities are always clean, the equipment is new and everything works. It's very spacious and the gym never feels too crowded, even during peak hours. The staff are friendly and helpful.

As someone who had no experience with weights or gym equipment they made the transition so seamless. They have Personal Trainers that you can avail of and I would absolutely encourage anyone to use this service. I am 12 weeks into my fitness journey and have gained so much from it.
